Volunteering at the Centre:

Self help is our way of action

Could you become one of our valued volunteers?

Do you have an hour or two to spare to help improve the lives of people with MS?

Do you have what it takes to become one of our friendly, cheerful volunteer team?

The Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis is almost entirely staffed and run by volunteers, without whom we could not operate.

We have a growing membership made up of people with MS, their carers and families.

We have lots of opportunities to use your skills and talents whether it be fundraising, operating our oxygen chamber or using your technical or business skills to help with the smooth running of the Centre.

Interested?

No qualifications or experience are needed to join our team of volunteers.

Training will be given to new oxygen chamber operators under the supervision of our experienced Trainers.

Fundraising can be fun and no experience is needed to join our team of fundraisers. We have many interesting opportunities for getting involved in this much needed work.

Fundraising Events

We often need volunteers to help at many of our fundraising events during the year. Tasks range from manning stalls at sales, to organising collections, arranging publicity materials. We also need people who are able to assist with setting up equipment for our stalls at outside events. (see Calendar Of Events)

Fund-Raising Collections

We have supermarket and street collections throughout the year, which can raise a huge amount of money. Volunteers are needed to collect for us over a 1—2 hour period. Collections are all held locally so there is bound to be one near you. Can you help? If so, please sign up, or speak to Jackie if you need more information. Don't forget to bring a friend or two along - the more help, the more £££'s we can raise, the more people we can continue to support.

To satisfy Charity Commission requirements, CRB checks and references are sought before joining our team.

So pick up the phone and see what you can do - ring 01793 481700 or contact us.
