A THERAPY centre hit the ground running for Multiple Sclerosis Week.

The MS centre, at Cheney Manor industrial estate, is to receive £1,000 in sponsorship from a London marathon runner.

Alison Paddon, 41, from Haydon Wick, completed the 26-mile race in 5hrs 4mins. She was at the MS centre yesterday to show off her 2007 London marathon medal. She said: "I was fully prepared for the race as I'd trained for 16 weeks up to race day. "Although I had a drink and toilet break around the 15 to 20 mile point, I ran all the way. I even managed a sprint finish with 800m to go. The crowd were really inspiring and that spurs you on. "It felt like such an achievement at the end. I'm so pleased to have done it for such a worthy cause as well."
